Cabinet Refinishing & Spray Finishes

Doors and drawers come off and are labelled, the surface is degreased and scuff-sanded, a bonding primer goes on, and the finish is sprayed for a smooth, factory level look. The orange oak kitchen on this page is the proof.

    Walls, ceilings, trim and doors. Floors and furnishings are covered, patched spots are primed so they do not flash through, and lines are cut in at the ceiling and trim before the roller comes out.

    Weather-resistant systems for siding, trim and outdoor surfaces. Washing, scraping and spot-priming bare wood come first. The blue-grey garden shed on this site went from peeling white and algae at the base to a protected finish.

    Baseboards, casings and doors, filled, caulked and sanded between coats. The eye lands on trim first, so the line where it meets the wall has to be crisp, as it is against the oak arched French doors in the sunroom.

    Nail pops, cracks, wallpaper-removal damage: cut out, taped, mudded in thin coats, feathered, sanded and primed. Paint magnifies whatever sits underneath it, so the repair comes before the color.

    Color guidance is part of the job, judged on the actual wall in that room's light rather than off a chip. It also covers limewash, masonry coatings and decorative finishes. The cream living room taken to a deep red is the bold-color example.
